Northwood is fortunate to have many professors who ignite interest and enthusiasm in their students. The Northwood University Education Leaders Memorial Scholarship was established in 2017 in memory of two such amazing professors, Jim John and Bob Sundwick. Both educators helped shape the Automotive Aftermarket Management program, contributed to its success, and led many students to their own successful careers in the industry. Created by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation, the scholarship is available to students who choose to pursue a degree in the Automotive Aftermarket Management program. Sadly, scholarship recipients won’t have the privilege of meeting professors John and Sundwick, who passed away in 2015 and 2016 respectively, but they will benefit from the many years of knowledge, commitment, and passion that they brought to the University.
“We are proud to establish the scholarship in the memory of Bob and Jim. It is a fitting tribute to two dedicated professors who well prepared their students to join the industry workforce,” said President Keith Pretty.
