COLESTOCK EARNS HISTORIC 900 CAREER VICTORIES Zane Colestock, head coach of the men’s tennis team at Northwood University, added another incredible milestone to his already remarkable résumé earlier this spring. With a 7-2 win over Lake Superior State, Colestock reached the 900-win mark for his career, which has now spanned 42 years.

This list of accomplishments for Colestock is impressive and continuing to grow. His career record now stands at 905-229, combined between the men’s and women’s programs. Colestock’s win total is among the highest all-time in NCAA tennis history. Under his leadership, Northwood has won 34 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, 13 NAIA District 23 Championships and has posted an .801 winning percentage. Colestock has coached two teams to the NCAA Final Four as well as 12 teams to the NCAA Elite Eight.

“Reaching the milestone of 900 career wins is an amazing achievement,” Northwood Athletic Director Dave Marsh told the Midland Daily News. “When you couple that with his incredible string of championships, I don’t think there is any question that Zane is one of the greatest college tennis coaches ever.”
