Outstanding Alumni Awards

Alumni were the focus of the Outstanding Alumni Awards (OAA). Held during Values Emphasis Week, the awards are presented by Northwood to recognize graduates who believe in and support the university’s mission and core values. This year’s seven OAA recipients are wonderful examples of how success can be guided by deeply held values.

Special keynote speaker Jeff Hoffman energized the gathering. A serial entrepreneur and former CEO of Priceline.com, Hoffman shared several evocative stories about his experiences as a globally renowned business leader and founder of multiple startups. Through his anecdotes and lessons learned, he illustrated how innovative solutions really do create industry shifts. Hoffman’s career track record proves that thinking in new ways can inspire market revolutions. Hoffman is also a dedicated humanitarian and co-author of the book SCALE.
